250TPH Crushing and Screening Line for Limestone Aggregate in Indonesia

Project Background

PT. Bumi Konstruksi Nusantara, a mid-sized construction materials supplier based in East Java, Indonesia, launched a new limestone aggregate production line in early 2023 to meet surging demand from local infrastructure projects. Procurement director Mr. Hendra Santoso began the search for a reliable crushing equipment manufacturer by typing key terms into Google Search. After comparing several supplier websites, he landed on Xianglong Machinery's official website, which featured comprehensive technical documentation, detailed product pages, and a portfolio of completed projects across Southeast Asia. Impressed by the depth of engineering content and the company's evident industry expertise, Hendra submitted an online inquiry and received a response within four hours.

Channel Communication and Needs Assessment

XLM's regional sales manager, Mr. Kevin Liu, reached out via WhatsApp within two business days to schedule an initial consultation. During the call, Hendra outlined the project requirements: a robust primary crushing and screening system capable of sustaining 250 tonnes per hour of medium-hard limestone, producing aggregate in three gradations -- 0-5 mm, 5-20 mm, and 20-40 mm -- to serve the local construction and road-building market. The quarry site was located approximately 80 kilometres from Surabaya in an open-pit environment with a tropical climate.

Technical Solution and Engineering Alignment

XLM's senior application engineer, Mr. David Chen, joined subsequent video calls to evaluate the raw material characteristics: a Mohs hardness of 4-5 and a maximum feed size of approximately 600 mm from blasting. David proposed a two-stage crushing and screening configuration centred on a PE-900x1200 Jaw Crusher as the primary unit, a PF-1315 Impact Crusher for secondary reduction, and two sets of YZK1860 Circular Vibrating Screens for product classification. The system was completed with a ZSW-490x110 Vibrating Feeder and a series of Belt Conveyors for continuous, automated material flow.

Over three weeks of technical exchanges conducted via email and WhatsApp video calls, the engineering team refined the plant layout to suit the quarry terrain, optimised screen deck apertures for the required gradation, and aligned the electrical control system with Indonesian SNI safety standards. Special considerations were incorporated for the tropical rainforest climate: all belt conveyors were equipped with weatherproof covers, electrical cabinets were specified with IP65 protection rating against high humidity (85%+ average), and anti-condensation heaters were installed in control panels. A formal commercial agreement was signed in April 2023, with a contractual delivery period of 65 days for all major equipment.

Delivery, Installation, and Commissioning

All equipment arrived at Surabaya port on schedule. XLM dispatched two field engineers -- Mr. Zhang Wei and Mr. Li Fang -- to the site for a 14-day on-site installation and commissioning programme. Working alongside PT. Bumi Konstruksi's local technical crew, the XLM team completed mechanical assembly, electrical integration, and trial runs within the planned timeframe. The plant achieved its design throughput of 250TPH during the final acceptance test, with all three product gradations fully meeting specification.

Results and Client Feedback

Within six weeks of full commercial operation, PT. Bumi Konstruksi confirmed that the plant was running consistently at or above target throughput, with aggregate sales already covering monthly loan repayments and generating positive operating cash flow. By month four, the project had met its internal ROI target ahead of schedule.
