150TPH Four Combination Mobile Crushing Station for Limestone Aggregate in Malaysia
Project Background
Apex Quarry Resources Sdn. Bhd., a Kuala Lumpur-based quarrying company, secured a large road construction aggregate supply contract for a highway project in Sabah, East Malaysia. The remote location of the limestone deposit and the temporary nature of the contract made a mobile crushing solution essential. Company director Mr. William Lim began searching for mobile crushing plant suppliers on LinkedIn and Google in October 2022. He found Xianglong Machinery's LinkedIn company page and sent a direct message to XLM's account, expressing interest in a high-capacity mobile crushing station.
Channel Communication and Needs Assessment
XLM's regional business development manager, Ms. Grace Tang, responded within 24 hours and arranged a video conference with XLM's mobile plant specialist, Mr. Jason Huang. The limestone at the Sabah site had a compressive strength of 220-260 MPa and a feed size of up to 800 mm from blasting. The required output was 0-5 mm, 5-10 mm, 10-20 mm, and 20-40 mm crushed limestone for road base, sub-base, and asphalt wearing course applications.
Technical Solution and Engineering Alignment
Jason proposed a Four Combination Mobile Crushing Station -- a fully integrated, wheel-mounted plant comprising a ZSW Vibrating Feeder, PE-1200x1500 Jaw Crusher for primary crushing, HP400 Multi-cylinder Hydraulic Cone Crusher for secondary crushing, VSI-8518 Vertical Shaft Sand Making Machine for tertiary shaping, and a 3YK2460 Circular Vibrating Screen for product classification, all mounted on interconnected trailer chassis for rapid relocation between site areas.
Technical discussions spanned three weeks via WhatsApp video calls and email. Jason provided a detailed plant configuration drawing, a trailer dimension and weight specification for road transport permits in Sabah, and a commissioning timeline. For East Malaysia's tropical rainforest climate (annual rainfall 3,000-4,000mm, humidity 85%+), the mobile plant was specified with: widened anti-slip crawler tracks for muddy quarry conditions, IP67-rated electrical components with anti-condensation treatment, hydraulic seals rated for continuous high-humidity operation, and reinforced weatherproof covers for all belt conveyors and screening stations. The HP400's hydraulic tramp-iron release system was highlighted as a critical feature for hard limestone operations. The contract was signed in November 2022, with a delivery period of 80 days.
Delivery, Installation, and Commissioning
The mobile plant was shipped from Qingdao to Kota Kinabalu port and transported to the Sabah site by low-loader trucks. XLM's commissioning engineer, Mr. Jason Huang, was on-site for 12 days to oversee assembly and trial production. The plant reached 165TPH during the acceptance test, exceeding the guaranteed capacity.
