300TPH PE Jaw Crusher, CS Cone Crusher & VSI Sand-Making Line for Granite Aggregate in Vietnam
Project Background
Viet Phu Granite JSC, a granite quarrying and processing company headquartered in Binh Duong Province, Vietnam, identified a strong market opportunity in supplying premium-grade crushed granite and manufactured sand to the booming Ho Chi Minh City construction sector. General director Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh began evaluating equipment suppliers in late 2022. After conducting searches on Google and browsing Alibaba International Station, he came across Xianglong Machinery's verified Gold Supplier profile, which featured extensive product listings, customer reviews, and technical data sheets. He submitted an inquiry through the Alibaba platform and received a detailed response from XLM's Vietnam-region sales engineer, Ms. Grace Tang, within six hours.
Channel Communication and Needs Assessment
Ms. Tang arranged a video consultation via WhatsApp, during which Mr. Nguyen described the raw material -- fresh granite with a compressive strength of approximately 180-220 MPa and a maximum feed size of 700 mm -- and the target output: 0-5 mm manufactured sand and 5-10 mm, 10-20 mm, 20-40 mm crushed granite at a sustained 300TPH. The project also required high product shape quality, as the manufactured sand was destined for high-grade concrete applications.
Technical Solution and Engineering Alignment
XLM's application engineer, Mr. Tom Xu, designed a three-stage crushing and sand-making line. The primary stage used a PE-1200x1500 Jaw Crusher for initial size reduction. Secondary crushing was handled by an CS Cone Crusher, selected for its high reduction ratio and excellent product shape performance in hard granite. The tertiary and sand-making stage employed a VSI-9526 High Efficiency Vertical Shaft Sand Making Machine, which used a rock-on-rock crushing principle to produce well-shaped, cubical sand particles. Final classification was performed by two sets of 3YK2460 Circular Vibrating Screens, with a Vibrating Feeder at the head of the line.
Technical discussions proceeded over four weeks via email and scheduled WhatsApp video calls. Tom's team provided detailed AutoCAD plant layout drawings, foundation load calculations, and a power consumption analysis. The CS Cone Crusher's hydraulic overload protection system was highlighted as a key advantage for granite applications, where tramp metal from blasting is a common operational hazard. For Vietnam's high-humidity coastal environment (85%+ average humidity), all electrical components were specified with tropical anti-corrosion treatment, and wear parts were upgraded to high-chromium alloy (26% Cr) for extended service life in highly abrasive granite. The commercial contract was executed in January 2023, with a delivery period of 75 days.
Delivery, Installation, and Commissioning
Equipment was shipped from Qingdao port and arrived at Ho Chi Minh City within the agreed schedule. XLM's commissioning engineer, Mr. Jason Huang, was on-site for 18 days to oversee installation and trial production. The plant achieved 310TPH during the acceptance test -- 3% above the guaranteed capacity -- with manufactured sand fineness modulus consistently within the 2.6-2.9 range specified for the client's concrete mix designs.
