500TPH TC116 Track-mounted Mobile Primary Crusher for Limestone Quarrying in Saudi Arabia
Project Background
Al-Rashidi Construction Materials Co., a major aggregate supplier serving the Riyadh construction market, was awarded a large-scale aggregate supply contract for a Vision 2030 infrastructure project in a remote region of central Saudi Arabia. The remote and temporary nature of the site made a track-mounted mobile primary crushing solution the only viable option. The company's procurement manager, Mr. Khalid Al-Rashidi, began evaluating suppliers on Google and Alibaba International Station. XLM's Alibaba Gold Supplier profile, with detailed product listings and verified transaction history, attracted his attention, and he submitted a request for quotation through the platform.
Channel Communication and Needs Assessment
XLM's Middle East sales manager, Mr. Steven Wu, responded to the Alibaba RFQ within 48 hours and arranged a video conference with Mr. Al-Rashidi and XLM's mobile crushing specialist, Mr. Mark Chen. The limestone at the site had a Mohs hardness of 3-4 and a maximum feed size of 1,000 mm from blasting. The required output was minus 150 mm primary crushed limestone at 500TPH for feed to a secondary crushing and screening plant.
Technical Solution and Engineering Alignment

The plant also incorporated a ZSW-600x150 Vibrating Feeder with a grizzly screen to bypass fines and protect the jaw crusher from overloading.
Technical discussions proceeded over four weeks via WhatsApp video calls and email. Mark provided detailed performance specifications, fuel consumption data, and a comparison with fixed plant alternatives showing the mobile option's lower total project cost. For Saudi Arabia's extreme desert environment, the track-mounted plant was engineered with: diesel engine equipped with desert-duty air filtration (multi-stage pre-cleaners for sand storms), hydraulic oil coolers sized for 50°C ambient operation, heat-resistant hydraulic hoses and seals rated for 60°C+ surface temperatures, air-conditioned electrical control cabin for operator safety, and UV-resistant component coatings. The contract was signed in April 2023, with a delivery period of 90 days. XLM also provided an extended warranty and a comprehensive spare-parts package including extra air filters and heat-resistant seals to support operations in the remote Saudi location.
Delivery, Installation, and Commissioning
The track-mounted crusher was shipped from Qingdao to Jeddah port and transported to the Riyadh region site by heavy-lift transport. XLM dispatched commissioning engineer Mr. Mark Chen to Saudi Arabia for a 15-day on-site commissioning and operator training programme.
