400TPH Crusheing plant for Iron Ore Mining in Uzbekistan
Project Background
Fergana Iron Mining LLC, an iron ore mining company operating an open-pit mine in the Fergana Valley, Uzbekistan, required a secondary crushing upgrade to increase ore processing capacity and reduce feed size to the downstream ball mill circuit. The company's chief engineer, Mr. Rustam Yusupov, began evaluating cone crusher suppliers in early 2023. He found Xianglong Machinery through a Google search for "single cylinder hydraulic cone crusher manufacturer" and also discovered XLM's storefront on Alibaba International Station. After reviewing XLM's product specifications and project references, Rustam submitted an inquiry through both channels simultaneously.
Channel Communication and Needs Assessment
XLM's Central Asia sales manager, Mr. Kevin Liu, responded to the Alibaba inquiry within thirty minutes and also connected with Mr. Yusupov via WhatsApp. The iron ore had an average compressive strength of 140-160 MPa and a feed size of up to 150 mm from the primary jaw crusher. The target output was minus 25 mm crushed ore at 350TPH, suitable for direct feed to the ball mill circuit.
Technical Solution and Engineering Alignment
XLM's application engineer, Mr. David Chen, recommended the CS430 Single-cylinder Hydraulic Cone Crusher in a standard head configuration, which offered the required reduction ratio and throughput for the ore characteristics. The CS430's single-cylinder hydraulic clearing system was emphasised as a key maintenance advantage over traditional spring cone crushers, reducing downtime during tramp iron events. The system also included a 3YK2460 Circular Vibrating Screen for closed-circuit operation, a Belt Conveyor return system, and a ZSW-490x110 Vibrating Feeder.
Technical discussions were conducted over three weeks via WhatsApp video calls and email. David provided detailed wear-part consumption estimates based on the ore's abrasion index, a foundation drawing for the existing crusher building, and a comparison of operating costs versus the client's existing spring cone crusher. For Uzbekistan's continental desert climate with extreme temperature swings (-20°C to 40°C), the CS430 was equipped with: dual-grade hydraulic oil suitable for both extreme cold and heat, heavy-duty air filtration systems for high-dust environments, enhanced bearing seals against fine sand ingress, and electric pre-heating systems for winter cold starts. The contract was signed in March 2023, with a delivery period of 70 days.
Delivery, Installation, and Commissioning
Equipment was shipped from Qingdao to Tashkent by rail and transported to the Fergana site by road. XLM provided remote commissioning support via WhatsApp video call, with engineer Mr. David Chen guiding the local installation team through the 10-day commissioning process. The CS430 achieved 430TPH at minus 25 mm during the acceptance test.

Results and Client Feedback
Within two months of commissioning, Fergana Iron Mining reported a 22% increase in total ore processing throughput compared to the previous spring cone crusher, attributable to the CS430's higher power efficiency and reduced downtime. Mr. Rustam Yusupov stated: "The CS Single-cylinder Hydraulic Cone Crusher from XLM has significantly improved our crushing circuit performance. The hydraulic clearing system has already saved us two unplanned shutdowns. We are planning to replace our primary jaw crusher with an XLM PE Jaw Crusher in the next capital investment cycle."
